About Ar-Rahmah Academy

Serving the community through authentic Islamic education since 2004.

Ar-Rahmah Academy is a community-focused Islamic institution dedicated to providing structured education and spiritual development rooted in the Qur'an and Sunnah.

Establishment

Ar-Rahmah Academy was established in 2004 by Ustadh Yasir Nisar, under the guidance of the esteemed Sheikh Muhammad Saleem Dhorat (ḥafiẓahullāh), founder of IDA Leicester.

Since its establishment, Ustadh Yasir has served as the Chair and Executive Director of Ar-Rahmah Academy. He is also the lead Imam, teacher, and lecturer.

Ustadh Yasir Nisar

He was born and raised in Chorley, Lancashire, in 1970.

In 1986, he began his Islamic studies at the Islamic College in Dewsbury, where he memorised the Qur'an and completed the foundational stages of the Aalimiyyah programme.

He later continued his studies at Dar al-Uloom Bury in 1993, graduating in 1997 with qualifications in the Islamic sciences.

Since completing his studies, he has remained devoted to teaching the Qur'an and various Islamic disciplines and has been serving the community for nearly three decades.
